Though no proof exists, it is believed that Abner fought in the Revolution with his father Vincent. His mother was Ruth Thomas according to brother Job's Revolutionary War Pension. I have him not present in the 1830 Census so he may have died in 1829 or spring of 1830. Margaret Hobbs is seen in Pike county, MO in the 1830 census. She is believed to have died there in the fall of 1830. She was probably living near James The 1830 census lists head of household name but just male or female for the rest in the house so Margaret must have been living by herself because she is listed as head of household.

The birth year of Abner, siblings, and mom is based on his youngest brother Job's solid birthday and the birth order he gives in his Revolutionary War Pension Application dated 1859. Job was 103 when he died in 1862. Did he die of natural causes? We do not know. The Civil war was raging around him when he died.
